Klaus Löffelmann is a Software Engineer on the Microsoft .NET Desktop/WinForms team. Originally from Germany, Klaus began his career as a self-employed writer, authoring IT books for early 90s home computers, and working as a journalist for German PC computer magazines. In the 2000s, he founded a consultancy specializing in software modernization, focusing on transitioning projects from VB6 to .NET and later to modern UI stacks like WPF, UWP, and Xamarin, leading numerous projects in finance, insurance, and government sectors across German-speaking European countries. He was an MVP for Visual Studio and Development Technologies for 10 years before joining Microsoft. He is married to his wife, Adriana, a professional dog photographer, and they both enjoy life with their two dogs in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
